On the 6th October, 3,000 hair professionals from across the UK and around the world gathered at the ExCel Arena, East London, for TONI&GUY Salon Live hosted at Salon International. Headed by Global Creative Director Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck and Head of Education, Cos Sakkas, with the multi award-winning Artistic Team – the new collections from TONI&GUY and label.m Professional Haircare for 2019/20 were launched. This was in addition to a trend-led presentation straight from the runways of London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week Men’s, concluding with awe inspiring Avant Garde work.
On stage to open the show was Global Creative Director, Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck who paid tribute to her father and discussed the new direction of the brand with newly appointed CEO Nigel Darwin at the helm and International Artistic Director, Cos Sakkas’ bigger creative role within the company.
This led to the man himself, Cos Sakkas appearing with the rest of the TONI&GUY International Artistic Team to present the new campaign – Trend Report 2020; a collection of six distinct cut and colour trends, illustrated by four individual looks in which the Team has interpreted ideas from the world of fashion.
In summary, the creative depicts how International Artistic Team cleverly applied the same rules of garment tailoring, shapes, textures and even colour to hair; fusing together fashion trends from the catwalks over the last 12 months with haircut, colour and styling trends.
It was only fitting that honouring others came next. TONI&GUY’s mantra as long been, that ‘it’s the people within the company that make it so successful.’
